BlackBerry Storm 2The BlackBerry Storm 2 could be made official as soon as this week, according to a new report, and the word is out on just how much it’ll set you back. Read on for the details.

We’ve seen the BlackBerry Storm 2 suffer countless leaks over the last few months, but now The Guardian has pegged RIM’s touchscreen sequel for unveiling later this week, on Vodafone for £30 a month.

BlackBerry Storm 2 specs uncovered

The story does not confirm whether the BlackBerry Storm 2 will have the longed-for Wi-Fi or not, but does say that the physical buttons along the bottom of the original Storm have been merged in to the SurePress display, suggesting the prototypes we’ve spied in the past are indeed the final shape and shell.

Vodafone’s site does not yet list the BlackBerry Storm 2, but if that cheaper tariff price is accurate, the BlackBerry Storm 2 will undercut competitors like the Palm Pre and iPhone 3GS, which start on O2 from £34.26 a month for two years when free up front. We’ll be sure to shout up as and when the BlackBerry Storm 2 gets official.
