Remember Toshiba’s leaked roadmap of phones we saw earlier this year? Those secret cellies have just started popping up in the flesh, and one comes with a surprise: it’s a dual screen folding affair that looks more like a Nintendo DS than a candybar smartphone!
On show at CEATAC in Japan this week were the leaked slider Toshiba K01 and tablet form L01, but it’s the Toshiba K02 that has us in a tizzy: instead of a QWERTY keyboard as seen in the render, it appears that there are two 3.5-inch touchscreens, in a landscape clamshell design like the Nintendo DS.

There are few other details beyond this on the Toshiba K02, other than it runs Windows Mobile 6.5, and one of the panels is resistive. It looks like the Toshiba K02 will be a bit less responsive than the HTC HD2 if that’s the case, but at least it means the inevitable stylus, just like Ninty’s handheld gaming gizmo.
