Nokia 5730 XpressMusic unboxed!

The Nokia 5730 XpressMusic mobile music smartphone was unveiled way back in March this year, but it’s only finally trotted up on to UK shelves. We’ve pounced on one of the first boxes in the country for a proper unboxathon on camera, so read on to see it up close in our gallery!

Cast your mind back a good seven months, and you’ll remember the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic is a cheap and cheery take on the E-series, packing a full QWERTY plus dedicated music buttons for the non-suity types, as well as a 2.4-inch screen, microSD slot, Wi-Fi and 3G.

Nokia 5730: E-series smartphone on a budget

We’re actually pretty impressed so far by the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic: although the garish go faster red does nothing for us, the wide keyboard beats the Nokia N97′s any day, thanks to wider buttons and a space bar that’s in the right place for once.

We’re also smitten by the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic’s button design: the dot matrix keys look stunning, like an E75 crossed with a printer from the mid-80s. We’ll be giving the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic a full rundown very soon, but in the meantime, have a look at it departing its carton right here in our gallery.
