Amazon slashes Wii price

Categories: Gaming News   Tags: ,

Nintendo WiiWould be Wii owners didn’t exactly benefit from the global price drop Nintendo rolled out last month, as it simply brought the cost of the motion sensing machine back to its original point. But Amazon’s lopped a big chunk off that in attempt to get the console off its shelves, so read on for how much you can nab one now.

You can now pick up a Nintendo Wii bundled with the original Wii Sports for just £139.99 on Amazon.co.uk. That’s a full £40 cheaper than the Wii was on launch back in late 2006.

Amazon’s dropped the price as it attempts to clear out stock to make way for the new Wii bundle with Wii Sports Resort and the MotionPlus add-on for £179.99. The game and peripheral cost £39.35 separately, so if all you want a Wii for is Super Mario Galaxy, you can now pick it up for a snap, and stump up for the pair later.

The Wii is available to order in both bundles on Amazon right now, but hurry as the cheaper option won’t hang around.
