The Sony Reader Touch just strolled up to out doorstep and parked itself on the mat, so we took the time to rip it from its plush packaging and give it the once over for your eyes only. Is it a Kindle toppler? Read on and see for yourself!
The Sony Reader Touch is Sony’s top of the line e-reader here in the UK right now (No 3G Daily Edition for us – yet), and as you may have guessed from its name, the 6-inch digital tome comes with a touchscreen, so you can flick through pages with a swipe, instead of fiddling with physical buttons tucked away at the bottom.
Truth be told, the reflection on the screen is seriously distracting if you’re trying to read for long stretches, but as a note taker, the stylus equipped Sony Reader Touch outclasses the Kindle DX easily.
The Sony Reader Touch is on sale now, but check it up close in our unboxing gallery first to see if it’s worth shelling out for one when a colour Cool-er e-reader is around the corner, and we’ll be back with a full review before you know it.
