tony-hawk-ride-wiiStill not sure about getting your wallet out and grabbing the Tony Hawk Ride board peripheral? Well, if you’re a Wii owner, playing as your very own Mii should be able to sway you into buying that wheel-free skateboard. While the Wii version of Tony Hawk Ride doesn’t pack the same online modes you’ll find on the Xbox 360 and PS3, you can at least get your Mii doing ollies and the like.

Tony Hawk Ride to cost £100

According to Tony Hawk Ride’s producer, Yale Miller, Nintendo was keen on the idea and pro skaters have embraced the move too. As well as playing as yourself, you’ll be able to play as a faintly ludicrous looking Tony Hawk Mii too.

There are also set to be two unique levels on Tony Hawk Ride for the Wii. The game is due to land on 4 December here in the UK, a whole month after US skaters get the chance to hunker down with their neat new extra.
