The Qualcomm FLO TV personal telly is a brand new, credit card sized gizmo that’ll let you watch all your favourite shows on the go without fiddling around with an antenna. Read on for the full details, and to see it up close.
Qualcomm, which is better known for making the chips that power many mobile phones, has been running its FLO TV service for mobiles in the US for some time, but has now launched a dedicated Qualcomm FLO TV pocket gogglebox.
The Qualcomm FLO TV comes with a 3.5-inch capactivie touchscreen and is good for viewing up to 5 hours on the go. The service doesn’t technically air live TV, but often shows programmes from major American channels like NBC as they’re broadcasted.
Is a pocket telly worth $250 (£160) though? That’s how much you’ll be paying for the Qualcomm FLO TV, plus an extra $8.99 (£5.60) on top of that every month when it launches stateside before Christmas. There’s no word on a UK release yet for this slice of pocket flatscreen, but the company has space on the spectrum to flick it on if it so chooses, so that could change. Have a peep at the official photos right here while we wait it out.
