Plucky British MP3 download site 7digital has just thrown open the doors on a new US service, selling tracks and albums across the pond for the first time. The new store will flog music at dirt cheap prices, retaining its hard love for DRM-free tunage. Keep reading for every last detail.
7digital is a cracking alternative to iTunes and Amazon, serving up cheap MP3s for bargain bucket prices. And the UK–based shop is now in business in America, flogging 320k MP3s for just 77c a pop. Albums are set to cost $7.77. That undercuts iTunes variable pricing, which kicks off at 79c for our US friends.
BlackBerry and 7digital prepping music downloads
The move is a great British success story. It’s always good to see Brits take their tech wares over the Atlantic and we’re betting American music fans will be lapping up 7digital’s cheap records.
Alongside the US store, a new Canadian branch has also hit the net. And on top of that 7digital is also starting to flog FLAC and MP3 bundles, starting with the all-new Massive Attack record.
