7digital-blackberryAfter plenty of hype, the 7digital BlackBerry app has at last been set free. The new addition to RIM’s emailers offers easy music access on the move over Wi–Fi and 3G, with a few nifty extras to tempt you to snaffle songs on-the-go. Want to know the full skinny? Keep reading.

The new 7digital BlackBerry app is out now and is set to work on the BlackBerry Bold, Curve 8900, Storm and the snazzy new Curve 8520 here in Blighty. The store itself looks a peach and was pretty nippy when we had a whirl with it this morning.

As well as buying DRM–free tunes from all four major labels over-the-air, 7digital has chucked in some clever little extras. If you buy tunes over the mobile network, the Wi–Fi autosync feature means it’ll upgrade to 320k MP3 from 64k when you switch over to wireless web.

7digital has also been bigging up BlackBerrys multitasking skills, saying it has the opportunity to smackdown the iPhone’s inability to do more than one thing at a time.

The 7digital BlackBerry app also uses RIM’s push powers to sling tunes you buy on your PC straight to your blower. You can nab it now from 7digital.com/bb.
