Google’s forthcoming Chrome operating system could be launching sooner than anticipated – at least in the Far East. According to “industry sources”, Chrome OS could pop up on Chinese netbooks as early as mid-October.
As Liliputing points out, Chinese manufacturers are more likely than their Western counterparts to simply go ahead and start using brand new technology. While HP or Dell would want to thoroughly test Chrome OS before slapping it on their products, Chinese firms may be willing to load up cheap hardware with a pre-release version of the operating system and stick it on the shelves.
If the rumour is true, we’re bound to hear more in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, check out 10 ways that Google Chrome OS will change netbooks.
