It’s official. The Apple iPhone is coming to Orange in the UK this year. For anyone itching for an iPhone, but eager to side-step O2, it’s Christmas come early.
Orange just confirmed it has “reached an agreement to bring iPhone 3G and 3GS to Orange UK customers later this year.” It’s completely legit with Apple in on the deal.
Apple has been bigging up its green credentials in recent months, marking all its new products against an eco-friendly checklist, and steadily reducing harmful or non-recyclable materials used in their creation. Now it’s delivering another salvo in its battle for acceptance by the tree-hugging brigade, by changing its eco reporting to account for the carbon footprint of its products themselves.
