It’s official. The Apple iPhone is coming to Orange in the UK this year. For anyone itching for an iPhone, but eager to side-step O2, it’s Christmas come early.
Orange just confirmed it has “reached an agreement to bring iPhone 3G and 3GS to Orange UK customers later this year.” It’s completely legit with Apple in on the deal.
The move marks the end of O2′s iPhone exclusivity in the UK, and means Orange now offers the iPhone in 28 countries worldwide.
Orange says it’ll be selling the iPhone in all Orange direct channels, including Orange shops, the Orange website and through Orange telesales. It’ll also be available through “selected high street partners” although there’s no indication which stores will stock Orange’s version.
