AppleInsider reports that Apple’s polycarbonate MacBook could be about to get an overhaul, with a thinner shell, internal battery and lower pricetag, and the new MacBook is at least at some stage in the production process right now.
New iMac: more details sniffed out
The site says that the famous white look will remain, but the new MacBook model could be even cheaper as a result of the current economic climate. Apple’s MacBook currently sells for £749, so a price drop could see a new MacBook dropping into the £600 bracket and open up a whole new audience conscious of cost but eager to join in on the OS X fun.
There’s no definite timing for a release of the new MacBook, but with an iMac refresh around the corner, it’d make sense for Cupertino to out them all at once. Who’s up for an Apple Store Down day?
