Denon DBP-1610 Blu-ray player unveiledDenon just whipped out the Denon DBP-1610 Blu-ray player, a brand new HD video chucker with a budget pricetag. For Denon, that is, so read on to find out just how much it’ll set you back.

The Denon DBP-1610 Blu-ray player pulls off most of the features you’d expect from one of the classiest AV cats in town, including full HD picture, DVD upscaling and DolbyTrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio support.

Under the bonnet of the Denon DBP-1610 Blu-ray you’ll also find DivXHD and AVCHD support from DVD and SD cards, so you can play back your HD camcorder footage without cables.

And the cost of all this goodness? The Denon DBP-1610 Blu-ray will ring up £399.99 on the till. A hefty sum compared to a PS3, yes, but a full £200 less than Denon was asking for its last “affordable” Blu-ray box. It’s out in October in traditional black – what else?
