Impressive, seeing as the mobile OS doesn’t even land until 6 October. Keep reading to see just who will be getting involved with the tweaked operating system.

Benjamin Tan, Microsoft’s main mobile man in China certainly didn’t mince his words when talking up plans for Windows Mobile 6.5. He has said that more than 30 cells with the newly minted system will drop globally come the end of the year.

The Acer F1 looks like it will be first out of the blocks, as we reported yesterday. The Toshiba TG01 is getting an over-the–air upgrade to the Windows Mobile 6.5, with LG confirming a string of devices packing a skinned version of the OS.

Windows Mobile 6.5 certainly looks a peach compared to its clunky predecessor, able to handle prods from fingers as well as styluses with class.
