VodafoneVodafone’s free internet offer last month was handy enough, but it only shaved 50p off your monthly bill. The network’s latest stunt will save you a lot more though: it’s letting you download 10 free music tracks this Friday, so iTunes addicts can cut the cost for one day only. Grab your diary and read on for the deets.

Vodafone’s been bigging up its music download service of late, first ditching the DRM, then rolling out a realtime Twitter top 40, and now by giving away songs for zilch.

This Friday from midnight, and for 24 hours only, you’ll be able to download and keep up to 10 songs on the Vodafone Music Store without spitting up a single penny. There’s 1.6million songs to choose from, and the only restrictions are current chart toppers.

Not a bad deal, we reckon, and if that’s not enough to quench your cheap track thirst, Vodafone will be offering ten tracks for a fiver too, to celebrate the store’s relaunch on the same day. And if you’re looking for some inspiration, why don’t you take a peek at what tunes others are talking about right now.

Out Friday | £free | Vodafone

Good stuff! I missed out the last time Voda did this after forgetting all about it! Better set a reminder this time around!
