HTC TattooThe HTC Tattoo is the littlest Android phone yet, and while we knew already it ws due out next month, a network’s now popped up to claim the dinky dialler: Vodafone. Read on to find out the fineprint on HTC and Voda’s pact.

The HTC Tattoo won’t match the Hero for incredible screen, 5MP camera and quirky chin styling, but the mini mobile still packs a powerful punch with 3G, Wi-Fi, a 3.2 megapixel snapper and the same swish Sense UI. And now we know which of the big four you’ll be paying next to nothing for for the privilege.

HTC Tattoo budget Android blower debuts

Vodafone’s first of the UK networks off the mark, announcing it’ll have the HTC Tattoo exclusively in black from October. That’s not a huge claim to fame since the purple and blue HTC Tattoo versions don’t look too shabby either, but we don’t see any other networks boasting those right now. Do you?

You can register your interest for the HTC Tattoo on Vodafone’s website now, so if you’re keen to Google on the go and on the cheap, get clicking.

I have just gotten the HTC Tattoo, the spec says its got GPS i can turn it on but i’m struggling to find the actual GPS maps or is the GPS just simply linked to the Google Map application that uses the internet?

    • Hi Jade. The GPS will switch on when the phone needs it. Fire up Google Maps and you’ll see it in action (as long as you’re outside, with a good view of the sky). It’s not just limited to Google Maps though – if you use the Android Marketplace to download other apps that use GPS, it’ll work in those too. Hope that helps!
