Insiders have gone quiet on the Microsoft Pink smartphone project in recent months, with focus turning on the Zune HD stateside, but sincethe latter’s gone on sale there, leak service has resumed as usual: now there’s more talk of what the project involves, and it’s not just one Microsoft branded phone, but two. Read on for the deets.
9to5Mac claims to have advanced word of what Microsoft Pink actually is: two new Redmond smartphones, with the help of subsidiary Danger, which uses Sharp to make its phones for it, and they could both be branded as “Microsoft+Sharp”.
Microsoft Pink smartphone specced?
As you might expect, the two Microsoft Pink phones will take different form factors: one the “Turtle”, will be “squircle” shaped, like the older Zune line, while the other will be a candybar slider dubbed “Pure”.
The mole couldn’t give any more details, other than that both Microsoft Pink phones could debut at CES in January. It’s a good thing we’ll be on the ground there then, so expect plenty more Microsoft Pink coverage to come.
