Remember’s Vodafone’s Twitter holiday map? The network’s back with a new micro blogging mash up that pulls up a realtime chart based on the singles peeps twitter about – and you can influence it. Read on to find out how to turn yourself into web 2.0 Jimmy Savile.
Vodafone’s last Twitter concoction saw people not hugely concerned about being burglarised tell everyone where they were headed on their jollies, but now the developer behind it, Ben Marsh, is back with Vodafone’s realtime top 40 Twitter chart.
Head on over to www.realtimetop40.com and you can see the most popular songs right now based on people tweeting with the hashtag #RealTimeTop40. You can get your favourite tune registered too by tweeting in the same way, and it all updates in realtime, with avatars of the people voting below the song. It’s a polished piece of work and well worth a look.
As you might expect, Vodafone’s chart differs quite drastically from
the traditional one since you don’t have to buy the songs. Right now, Patrick Swaye is sitting at the top as fans fire off RIP tweets, but we’re much more worried about Pink at number 4. What’s wrong with people? Best get twittering and bump her down ASAP.
