Market research types NPD have been delving into reams of stats and figures, throwing up this juicy stat: Snow Leopard has shifted twice as many copies in its first two weeks than OS X Leopard did its first fortnight.

NPD says Snow Leopard’s easy install and cheap price make it a “win–win ” for Apple punters. That £25 price tag is certainly a beaut’, with our Mac getting noticeably speedier, even if it has killed our mobile broadband. Not so cool, Apple.

Snow Leopard’s sales figures are also four times that of OS X Tiger during its first fourteen days. It seems slick new OS upgrades are where it’s at in 2009.
