Ho ho. See that phone on the left? That’s the HTC Leo, and it looks like whoever leaked that early render of the Windows Mobile 6.5 phone was bang on the money. This latest hole in HTC’s bucket brings us even more details, so read on for what to expect.
When will mobile companies learn? If you don’t want your snazzy, high-end smartphone leaked before launch, don’t tell the Eastern European offices about it. Once they get a unit, the surprise is all over, as Serbian blog Ai.Rs proves with its scoop. As rumoured, the HTC Leo is a touchscreen phone (no dual screen craziness) running Redmond’s latest OS on a snappy 1GHz processor, with HSPA, microSD slot and a 5MP camera.
But wait, we here you ask. Isn’t that a HTC Touch Diamond2 next to the HTC Leo? Yes it is, and yes, the HTC Leo is that massive. It’s packing a 4.3-inch touchscreen that’s even bigger than the Toshiba TG01‘s, but hopefully more responsive too, since it’s capacitive like an iPhone, quite a coup for a Windows Mobile phone.
There are no details on when the HTC Leo drops just yet, but we’ll let you know as soon as the swish slate gets official.
