You know how it is with games. Developers beaver away on the engines, stamping out bugs and suddenly that Q4 2009 window slips well into next year. Bioshock 2′s team know that feeling all too well, but thankfully publisher 2K Games is now confident to upgrade the launch from “first half of 2010” to the slightly more specific 9 February.
That’s the date pencilled in for a worldwide release of Bioshock 2 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 so no one’s getting left out here: you’ll all be able to step into Big Daddy’s boots simultaneously, exploring Rapture ten years after the events of the first game.
Of course, this could also be 2K Games telling Bioshock 2′s makers, 2K Marin, to pick up the pace, but whatever it takes to get the game out then, we say. Nothing like a deadline to work to guys, so get to it.
