The Sony Ericsson Xperia X3, Sony Ericsson’s first foray into Android, is looking tasty to the point where its older, more official Windows Mobile brother may get overlooked entirely. We’ve seen it on video already and scoped the specs, but now word is out on when it’ll be released too. Read on and grab your calendar.
Mobile Crunch has it on good account that the Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 Android phone, already completely leaked on spoilsport retail site Expansys, will be launched in January 2010.
If you’re in need of a refresh, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 promises to be a powerful touchscreen phone on spec sheet alone (HSDPA, Wi-Fi, WVGA screen and an 8MP camera), but it’s the Sony Ericsson Android skin, dubbed Rachael, that has us all in a fluster.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X3: Rachael UI video!
The only question is whether the Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 will launch after the Windows Mobile Xperia X2 (Supposedly Sony Ericsson’s last outing with Microsoft), or alongside it. Either way, the date set for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 suggests we’ll be catching up with it at CES in Las Vegas at the very latest.
