Getting primed for Windows 7‘s big day at the end of October? Well the fun’s started early, with the first Windows 7 netbook being unleashed across the pond and packing better than average extras inside. Want to know more about this Microsoft maven? Then read on.
The Hercules eCAFE EC-1000W might not sound terribly exciting. But this slab of netbook joy is the first micro machine to come packing Windows 7. That means it should run along at top speed and look a darn sight better than current XP efforts.
Inside, there’s stacks of space, with a massive 250GB HDD, alongside a 6 cell battery, the standard Intel Atom processor and a 10.1-inch screen for peeping movies and spreadsheets, on top of the slick new Windows 7 OS.
Windows 7: an entire day to install
At the moment, the The Hercules eCAFE EC-1000W is US only and has been slapped with a $399 price tag. That’s a dirt cheap £240. While it may not land in Blighty, do expect more Windows 7 notebooks very soon indeed.
