Mario Kart 64If you can’t get enough 16 bit action on your Wii via the Virtual Console, Nintendo’s got just the thing for you. Fancy a pass which gets you all you can eat access to every NES, SNES and N64 game on the service? Read on to find out how you can grab one.

Ninty’s launched a brand new scheme for WiiWare addicts, called the Connection Ambassador Promotion. If you can get anyone else online with their own Wii console for the first time, both of you get 500 points to spend on the Virtual Console, or anything else you like.

It gets better though. If you can rope 10 people in to jumping on the Wii bandwagon, Mario will award you with Connection Ambassador Gold status, and all first party NES games for free. If you use your powers of persuasion on 20 people and succeed, not only do you get 10,000 Wii points, but Platinum status, letting you download every Nintendo retro console game available on the Wii Virtual Console.

Yes, it’s a cross between a referral and a pyramid scheme, but if you like to blab and you like free game buffets, why not get stuck in? You can get full details on the Virtual Console offer at the relaunched WiiWare portal but before you email us raving about the joys of motion sensor gaming, we already have a Wii thanks.

Didn’t pyramid selling schemes go out in the 80′s? personally I wouldn’t inflict a Wii on my worse enemy…

I hear ya about the pyramid schemes. But hey, some of the games you can download are from the 80s too, so it’s only fitting, right? Right? …….
