sony-ericssonGadget makers are never ones to shy away from hyperbole. But Sony Ericsson’s latest plans really do take self–belief to the next level. The mobile giant says on 21 September “the way you listen to music changes forever.” How? Read on.

The 21 September Sony Ericsson announcement will kick off with a specially arranged webcast called ‘Put your ears in control’. For now, this remains marketing fluff, but the claim that how we listen to tunes is set to “change forever” is certainly extreme.

So what has Sony Ericsson got lined up? A slew of new Walkman phones? A tie in with Spotify to match the iPhone? We’ll have to wait and see. We’ll be tuning in on 21 September, so stay right here for all the news as it happens.
