The Puma iPhone app, called the Puma Index, is simple. Tied to the stockmarket, this freebie sees models strip down when shares tumble and sling on some clobber as prices climb. Or, as Puma puts it, “The colder the market gets, the hotter our index gets.”
Again the Puma iPhone app raises the question of taste when it comes to the Apple approval process. There are both male and female models, with the idea being that they strip down to their new Puma Bodywear kit, which the sports giant is marketing.

So is this a case of using the App Store as a cool marketing tool? Or does the Puma iPhone app simply smack of the low rent nature of most extras? It’s certainly no Spotify, that’s for sure.
