The new Apple iPod line is official folks. Cupertino outed the new PMPs at its music shindig last night, and we were there live to catch it all as it happened. Read on for all the coverage right here in your techie breakie.
First up, Steve Jobs took to the stage, marking his first public appearance this year. He got straight down to business, unveiling iPhone OS 3.1 with Genius recommendations for apps, as well as iTunes 9, with brand new features like iTunes LP and Extras for movies, and we got a first look at all the new features.
Then it was on to new iPods, and Apple managed to pull a few surprises. The iPod touch went to 64GB, but there was no camera in sight. The iPod shuffle got new colours and sprouted a 2GB version and a steel Special Edition, while the Classic crept back up to 160GB.
Finally the new iPod nano graced our presence, packing an FM radio and – wait for it – a video camera. Naturally, we got hands-on ASAP so be sure to check all the pics.
