All the iPod touch and iPod nano accessory makers out there simply cannot wait until tonight. Apple isn’t due to whip the covers off the new tune chucking line up until 6pm tonight UK time, but case crafters have already put up images of what the pair should look like. Are they for real?
iPod peripheral powerhouse Cygnett has popped up mockups of cases for the new iPod touch and nano, and while they appear to have been more Photoshopped than a model’s muffin top, they do give us a good indication of proportions at least. If Apple has sent manufacturers official photos of the new iPods yet, they’ve not leaked, but they’ve definitely sent the measurements out, and at the very least, this is what they’ll fit like.
Look familiar, don’t they? A 64GB iPod touch with a camera as good as the iPhone 3GS would be a welcome upgrade, but while we’re not putting any money down, we’re hoping that Apple has a bit more to add to the nano than a crusty camera and a slightly longer screen.
What do you reckon though? Will the iPod touch 3G and the iPod nano 5G pull in the punters like they have before? Stay tuned right here for the live coverage to find out first.
