The Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness: that’s the name for the quirky cellie with a see through screen we spied a few months ago, and it’s now official. Want to peep it in action? Want to know when you can blag one? Keep on reading then!

Isn’t it nice when an insane phone concept becomes reality? Motorola and LG persist in showing off designs that won’t become reality for decades, but Sony Ericsson’s been much more prompt with the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness, delivering up the official word and video now ahead of a launch in November.

Sony Ericsson Kiki: where’s the keyboard?

Although precise specs are still secret, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness will be a low end, T9 phone in all but design, though the video hints at Bluetooth connectivity at least. As you can see, the OS isn’t up to much – but it is also see through, making the LG Crystal look about as transparent as the EU’s bean counting office.

Sony Ericsson says the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness is designed to emulate the “purity of water”, but we’ll hold judgement on that for when it goes on sale in “key cities” in two months’ time. Expect a small launch in one shop in London, like the LG Watch Phone, but in the meantime, get a first look at the video of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness right here!
