Wow, Archos might have wanted to drip feed rabid Android fans with news about its imminent Internet Media Tablet. But surely it would have like some news to stay sacrosanct ahead of the official unveiling on 15 September. Read on for all the latest.
Sure, an official shot of the Archos Android IMT has already slipped. But yet another pic has landed online, along with news about exactly what to expect when it gets the official thumbs up in a fortnight.
That 500GB hard drive model will be top of the pile, costing $420 (£247), with a 160GB model for $310 (£191). Then there’ll be two SSD–based models. A 32GB effort for $370 (£228) and a 16GB pared down monster for $294 (£181).
You can expect the Archos Android IMT to apply the usual British pricing tricks when it lands here, meaning this bad boy will be a tad pricier than above. But with a 32GB iPod touch costing £283, it looks like this could be a real rival, price–wise at least.
The Wi–Fi rocking, Flash–friendly Archos Android IMT certainly promises much. Fingers crossed it can deliver.
