Just a couple of days after the official UK launch of the Samsung Galaxy on O2, a picture has surfaced that claims to be the budget version – the I5700 Galaxy Lite. Read on for the full skinny.
Samsung’s I7500 Galaxy is a rather tasty looking Android phone, which impressed us when compared to its nearest rival – the HTC Hero. One thing the Android market is lacking, though,is much in the way of budget handsets. There is the forthcoming HTC Click, and – soon, we hope – the Samsung I5700 Galaxy Lite.
Since we saw that FCC filing last week, a few more details have emerged from the rumour mill, along with the above pic, courtesy Frandroid. Wi-Fi, 3G+/HSDPA, GPS and Bluetooth were to be expected, but the Galaxy Lite will almost certainly feature Google branding and come with the full suite of Google apps and automatic synching with GMail/Calendar, etc.
