You’ve caught all the PS3 Slim specs already, and you’ve seen all the official photos, but there’s nothing quite like opening up a new console and picking it up with your own paws. That excitement never goes away, and even if the PS3 Slim is a pared down version of a console already out, we still feel it.

There’s no doubting the PS3 Slim’s size difference, a particular boon when you consider there’s a bigger 120GB hard drive on there too for less money. Whether it’s enough to make the jump depends on how many set top boxes you already have cluttered under your gogglebox, but things are looking promising. A Blu-ray player for £249.99 that plays games? Can’t argue with that.
