My Sony’s been busy at IFA. The show floor doesn’t even open to a gadget hungry public until tomorrow, and already the Japanese giant is unleashing a raft of killer new gadgets. And the latest news is that two new Sony Bravia TVs are set to pack Freesat.
There are two new models that’ll let you grab HD TV without needing to stump up for Sky. See, the W5810 and Z5800 Bravia TVs each rock a DVB–S2 tuner. And that means there’s no need for a set top box. Just hook it up to your dish and you’re set.
Naturally, both boobtubes rock Full HD 1920×1080p, with 100Hz tech and 100,000:1 contrast ratio. That should all mean watching next year’s World Cup in HD for free will be even better.
The W5810 is set to come in 32, 37, 40, 46 and 52–inch models, while the Z5800 will roll up in 40, 46 and 52–inches. And with XMB in both, PS3 punters will be right at home too.
