HTC Touch2UPDATE: HTC has confirmed the specs listed for the HTC Touch2. Keep reading to see what’s in store!

The HTC Touch2, a brand new touchscreen phone running on Windows Mobile 6.5, has just been confirmed by the Taiwanese tech wizard, and we know when the artist formerly known as the HTC Mega will be landing. Want to find out when you can catch one? Read on, squire.

The cunning cats at HTC tried to fool us with their codenames, but the HTC Touch2 is in fact the HTC Mega we saw leaked last month. Not that there’s anything wrong with that: we like a bit of HTC’s TouchFLO UI on top of its WinMo offerings.

Inside, we should be looking at a QVGA, 2.8-inch screen, a 3.2MP camera, WiFi, GPS and HSDPA, although HTC has yet to confirm these last few specs – we’re chasing up now.

The HTC Touch2 lands on 6 October with the roll out of Redmond’s latest mobile OS, so keep it locked for more on launch.
