It’s the biggest Apple event since, er, the iPhone 3GS unveiling, and we now know when it’s going down for sure. Whip your calendars out and mark off the date for when the new iPods come into the world.
As expected, the Apple event will go down on 9 September in San Francisco. Apple’s not explicitly used the word “iPod” anywhere in its invites, but it’s a safe bet we’ll be seeing the latest bunch of Apple’s tune chuckers, as this is when Cupertino’s unveiled them for several years running. That, and the dancing silhouette is holding an iPod.
What will we see? We’re betting on iTunes 9, camera-filled iPod touches and nanos, but as for the Classic, who can say? It might get a camera too, or it could be killed off altogether. More intriguing is the “rock and roll” theme Apple teases at in the invite – more evidence that a Beatles iTunes love-in will finally take place, perhaps?
