Rejoice! The Spotify iPhone app has been given the thumbs up by the judge, jury and executioner at Apple to roll out on the App Store, so you’ll be able to fling all the music you like over the air, and even hoard playlists for when you’re out of reception.
It’s only August, but it feels like Christmas is here already. Why? Because Apple just approved the Spotify iPhone app for a la carte mobile music streaming, which Spotify has confirmed to us will roll out shortly.
That’s for iPhone owners prepared to pay £9.99 a month for the premium Spotify subscription mind, but now that you can channel that straight to you, as well as ramp up the sound quality at home, the ad-less package is looking ever more tempting.
Now granted, we really shouldn’t have to have the scenario where we have to pray for perfectly legal software to be approved, but now that Apple’s being investigated over the Google Voice spat, here’s hoping Cupertino’s turning over a new leaf. Here’s our Spotify iPhone ap coverage so far, so have a look at what to expect while we await launch of what may well be the best iPhone app yet.
