The new Sony Alpha a850, a550 and a500 DSLRs got all official yesterday, and we just got to grips with them up close in the flesh. Want to see these new snappers for serious shutterbugs up close? Come peep them in our gallery.
First up, we cornered the Sony Alpha a850, which takes almost all the specs of the flagship a900, including full frame imaging and 24.6 megapixels of picture, and sticks them in a body which costs under two tons.
Also to hand were the Sony Alpha a550 and a500 with fold otu LCD screens and 14.2 and 12.1MP sensors respectively. If you’re looking for a camera that sucks in HD video too, you’ll be out of luck, but at 7fps, they’ll capture all the top shots you could need at speed.
Sony’s drip feeding its new Alpha line on to the shelves over the next month or so, but get a close look here first in our hands-on!
Out September (a850) October (a550, a500) | £TBC | Sony
