The new Nokia N900 has been all over the web of late. But you can’t beat something getting the nod legitimately. Nokia’s new tablet crams in a Maemo–powered OS that promises to be way more intuitive than clunky old Symbian.
Web browsing on the N900 is “Mozilla–based” so it looks like you’ll be getting a sniff of Fennec when it lands in October for €500. On top of that you get a stonking 32GB of storage, which can beefed up to 48GB via SD.
Nokia X series: the end of XpressMusic?
There’s an ARM processor, which Nokia says will give the N900 PC–like multitasking powers. and “computer–grade performance.” That’s backed up by support for 10.2Mbps HSDPA and Wi–Fi, full Adobe Flash support and room for an insane 10 email accounts.
Media moguls will be pleased to see a touchscreen, QWERTY pad and 5MP camera for when working takes a back seat. We’ll be going hands–on with this bad boy in Stuttgart next week, so keep an eye out for our initial musings then.
