Scallies rejoice! The new Sony Walkman S540 packs in speakers, so you can blast out your favourite tunes on the bus or in public. But it’s a slick PMP too, with video playback and the typical epic battery life you get on a Walkman. Want more? Then read on.
Blasting out tunes in public is one of the modern day PMP’s more infuriating aspects. But the new Sony S540 Walkman is all about cranking out the tunes rather than keeping them locked up in your headphones. Rocking Clear Stereo and Clear Bass tech, it’s perfect for a summer’s day out when you want to share your tracks.
There are two speakers at either end of the Sony S540 Walkman. However, this is way more than just a neat way of firing out your hottest tunes. It’s just 10.2mm thin, with a massive 42 hours of music playback and a cracking 6.5 hours video on that 2.4–inch when you use the supplied buds. That drops to 17 hours audio and 5 hours video when you use the speakers.
