Just as our cross-Oceanic cousins get the 3G-fueled Sony Reader Daily Edition, Sony UK outs the Sony Reader Pocket and Touch eBooks for Blighty. Want to know when you can place dibs on a digital book of your own? Read on for the deets.
Sony’s just ‘fessed up: the Sony Reader Pocket and Touch editions are getting a UK launch, with pre-ordering opening up right now on some sites, like Waterstones. If you’re in need of a refesh, the Sony Reader Pocket packs a 5-inch E Ink screen, 512MB of on board shelf space and USB 2.0 sideloading, so it’s a direct competitor to the likes of the Cool-er – especially with a £180 pricetag.
Sony Reader Pocket and Touch unveiled
The Sony Reader Touch meanwhile sports a more spacious 6-inch proddable display, an SD card slot, and the Oxford English Dictionary installed, should you get into an argument about derivation on the bus. What? It could happen, and for £250, you could solve your conundrum there and then.
Both the Sony Reader Pocket and Touch can be pre-ordered right now – we’re on Sony’s case about launch date as we type. Now, if only we could have the Daily Edition too.
