New Sony Alpha DSLREither Sony is deliberately leaking all of its new Sony Alpha DSLR line, or it’s sprung a hole the size of the Watford Gap. One site’s revealed all ahead of launch, so read on to meet and greet the Sony a500, a550 and a850.

Sony’s expected to launch a new line of Sony Alpha DSLRs on August 28th, but digitalkamera.de just hasn’t been able to hold back the excitement, and spilled the beans on the new bunch anyway. Up first is the Sony a850, touted as the first small full-frame DSLR with a 24.6 megapixel sensro and September launch – at under €2,000 (£1,750), it promises to be one of the cheapest full-frame snappers out there.

The source also says a Sony a500 DSLR is ready for launch. With a 12.3 megapixel sensor and €650 (£570) pricetag, it’s aimed at those with less money and time to spend, but with a 3-inch LCD screen with Live View and quick auto focus, plus a 5fps shooting speed, you won’t be complaining.

That’s not all though: PhotoRumors has spotted a Sony a550 on another German website, priced up at €749 (£650) body only, or €849 (£740) with a 18-55mm lens. Sony really ought to call a plumber, or there’ll be no new details to reveal come the 28th.
