Sony PSPgoPlanning on picking up a Sony PSPgo come 1 October? The race is on to undercut Sony’s mammoth RRP for the handheld gaming jukebox, and Tesco’s just taken the lead. Want to know how much it’s dropped it by? Read on and see for yourself.

The PSPgo’s wallet whimpering pricetag of £225 could prove too much for some gamers, as one analyst recently suggested. But Tesco Direct is doing away with that, listing its PSPgo pre-order price at £199.97, a nice 11 percent discount – and you can even scoop Clubcard points while you’re at it.

That’s a full £30 less than Amazon is stocking the PSPgo for, and £25 less than Play.com, though it does give a 2 October release date. Still, which would you prefer, a day late or £25? If you’re looking to get your reservation on for less, it looks like every little helps.

You also forget to mention that because you order at a launch, you get a FREE copy of Gran Turismo PSP.

Not a bad deal at all. I’m tempted myself, but I want to find out more about Sonys plans for the UMD > Download swap program before i commit
