We heard Facebook was laying the groundwork to become the number one Twitter client in a bid to steal some of the micro-blogging sensation’s buzz, but Zuckerberg’s masterplan is finally beginning to roll out: you can now broadcast items from Facebook Pages straight on to Twitter.
Set to roll out over the next few days, the new feature allows you to sling a Facebook stream over to Twitter, with all the 140 character condensing and short-linking done for you.
The new Facebook feature even lets you choose which parts of a stream are published, from status updates to links, photos, and even events.
Now, there is a catch: this is for Facebook Pages, so you’ll only be able to syndicate to Twitter from the pages of websites, organisation, and artists, rather than from individual profiles. Facebook may well be steering clear of that for now because of the boost it’d give its upstart rival. But hey, if you incorporate yourself, you can take advantage of it right now.
