Agreed with St0rmBr1nger what a complete waste of an article.
Let’s all make a website that takes a small fact and complete elaborates on it for some sort of rise where we get some hits from aggregators for a day.

Grow up and report something REAL.

The quality of journelism here is falling apart by the day. A smaller process on the CPU DOES NOT MAKE IT FASTER. It makes use less power at the same clock speed OR it gives it enhanced clocking ability.

Now given that the PS3 Slim used 34% less power than the previous PS3, it’s clear to all but the village idiot, that the clock speed is the same, and that they are taking advantage of the smaller die process.

In other words, it would have to be the SAME power as the previous PS3 for it to be clocked higher…

Even worse, “Jointly developed by Sony, Intel and Toshiba”

Errm, Intel had nothing to do with the Cell, it[‘s IBM…. So Intel didn’t really say that did they, you made that bit up…

Seriously people get your tech news from people that know what they are writing about, not fred in the shed reporters.
