Well now, these shot are intriguinating. iTunes 9 is all but a lock to be unveiled at Apple’s iPod soiree next month, but a couple of screens showing the music program have leaked out online already, showing off two features: Facebook integration and third-party syncing. Wait, what?
There have been plenty of rumours flying around over what Cupertino’s cooked up for iTunes 9, from Blu-ray to a whole new album artwork format. But these screens sent by an anonymous tipster show off a couple more new tricks too.
Take a look at that first shot: does iTunes allow syncing with non-iPod MP3 players? That Samsung device hooked up seems to suggest so, although it does make you wonder why Apple’s been making such a fuss about the Palm Pre’s iPod-disguising syncing skills.
Next up, there’s also a shot of a shared iTunes playlist in Facebook – something that chimes with previous reports of a social networking twist in iTunes 9.
Real or not? Take a look and see for yourself, and we’ll find out for sure in round about three weeks.
