motion-controlWith all the hulaballoo over the PS3 Slim it’s easy to forget that Sony offered up some tantalising news about its new PS3 Motion Control system, first seen back at E3. Speaking at Gamescom, SCEE’s new chief, Andrew House, said more details about the new controller would be unleashed next month. Read on to find out just what’s coming.

Time to put aside thoughts of saving for a new PS3 Slim. There are more futuristic pursuits to worry about. Like PS3 Motion Control. Sony has promised that it will serve up even more news about the controller at the Tokyo Games Show next month.

Sony PS3 Slim unveiled

Kicking off on 24 September, the Tokyo Games Show will be the perfect opportunity for Sony to hand over the news on what games will play nice with PS3 Motion Control and even when it will land in our palms. Spring 2010 was mooted at E3.

PS3 Motion Control is hoping to slap down Microsoft’s Xbox Project Natal. And with a sleek new hub good to go, it’ll no doubt think it has a mighty fine chance.

Y’know, things are looking up for Sony. A slimmer and cheaper PS3. A ruck of AAA titles in the pipeline and motion control on the way too.

I’ve always thought that there was a lot of value in the PS3. I never saw it as overpriced. Still each to their own. Anyhoo, there’s never been a better time to own a PS3.

And as an additional bonus. Any exitsing 80gb stock will also see the same price reduction. So if you prefer a shiny more weighty box, then you still won’t lose out. Here in the UK, Asda has already dropped the price to £250 on the 80gb model.

No BC for the Slim? Well, I would never have expected it anyway. BC will more likely come in the form of a firmware update. That way everyone (except for those with the launch 60) can play their old PS2 games.

Anyway, all good for Sony. Happy dayz….
