Oh come along chaps, make your mind up. After a string of increasingly credible rumours about the Apple tablet rearing its head at Apple’s iPod shindig next month, followed by “a source” poo–pooing any chatter, now another analyst has weighed in. And he says we won’t be getting one, but two, versions of the Apple tablet in September.
Richard Doherty of Envisioneering Group says that not only will the Apple tablet be fired up officially in a few weeks, but that two models with very different people in mind will be on show. This ties in with other gossip pointing to a dual launch, which sneaked out last week.

Doherty says Apple is priming an iPod–alike, 6–inch Apple tablet running a similar OS to the PMP and aimed right at gamers and media junkies. The other 10–inch Apple tablet will pack in a full version of OS X. Perhaps that fabled educational iProd isn’t such a joke after all.
