We’re just hours away from the Sony press conference at Gamescom, and it looks like everything is now falling in to place: two online stores are already listing the rumoured PS3 Slim for pre-order! Want to know what it’s packing? Read on and see.
Two online stores, Kmart and Sears (Though owned by the same company) in the US have put the PS3 Slim up for pre-order, and if the specs and pricing are true, shops will have iPhone-esque queues come launch day.
The PS3 Slim supposedly comes with a 120GB HDD, Blu-ray, HDMI and 1080p support and will ship for just $300 (£181) from 24 August. That launch date sounds a bit optimistic, but it’s otherwise very believable. Expect Sony to come up with its own arbitrary separate price for the UK PS3 Slim though.
So, has Sony suffered yet another epic leak, or is this all an enormous hoodwink? We’ll find out shortly, so stay tuned.
