That much–hyped PS3 price cut is already here. Well, at one of the UK’s biggest supermarkets at least. Asda has slashed the cost of Sony’s hub to just £250. And that includes a Blu–ray movie and a couple of games. So what does this mean for the all new PS3 Slim? Read on and we’ll feed you the details.
Asda’s new PS3 deal is an absolute steal. For £250 you get the 80GB model, with Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines on Blu–ray, the Terminator Salvation game, with Ghostbusters The Game or Infamous chucked in too.
So why now? Well an Asda spokesperson has come out this morning and said the 80GB PS3 is being killed off. The supermarket will keep this bargain price going until it’s got no more left.
But what then? Well, the rumour mill reckons the fabled PS3 Slim is set for an announcement today. Sony has already taken its PlayStation Network store down ahead of its Gamescom press conference later this afternoon. The PS3 is expected to get an official price cut then, with PSPgo games prices also set to be confirmed.
